​Comprised of critical and creative thinking, communication and participation, research skills, note-taking, grammar, mechanics & usage, vocabulary, and reading and writing, students will explore the basics of English through the use of short stories, poetry, and fiction & non-fiction texts. Using selected resources from “The Reading & Writing Project” out of Columbia Teacher’s College and “Wordly Wise” for vocabulary, students will be prepared to enter our high school program upon completion of our Middle School ELA Workshop.
