Computer Science
Students in computer science will tackle a series of topics combining artistic, creative vision with technical knowledge. In the process, they will expand their horizons in new exciting technological areas, or reinforce their passion in familiar ones. Each unit, students will work on the same topic, but there will be opportunities for them to work along a specific more individual path. By the end of each unit the students will have completed deliverable projects that reflect the skills they learned and effort they put in.
Objectives:
-
Demonstrate how computing and tech enable new forms of experience, expression, communication, and collaboration.
-
Follow precise, complex multi-step instructions.
-
Deconstruct a problem into parts and create solutions for each part.
-
Create a plan as part of the iterative design process, both independently and with diverse collaborative teams (e.g., storyboard, flowchart, pseudocode, story map).
-
Use technology, including the Internet, to produce, publish, and update individual or shared writing material, digital art content, or interactive media.
