WordSmiths: Enhancing Literacy Skills Through Multi-Sensory Learning

Created just for Smith School students, WordSmiths is an after-school literacy group that uses evidence-based literacy practices to benefit learners of all reading levels. WordSmiths uses the Orton-Gillingham Reading Approach along with a multi-sensory, systematic method of word learning to enhance reading and writing skills inside and outside of the classroom. WordSmiths provides an additional opportunity for students to receive individual and small-group support that is tailored to their needs and that will benefit them in all areas of life.
